Meet the Team

Joe casual standing.jpg
Joseph Lombard

Founder

In the early days, Joe used the vestibule of his home as Corinthian’s first office. After his two sisters would leave for work, Joe would move his desk to greet incoming prospects and clients. He would then pull a phone out through the window, unravel the tail cord and place it on his desk. Corinthian Insurance Agency was open for business!

Joe grew up on his family’s traditional New England farm growing corn and other crops to be sold or fed to the livestock. The Lombard farm sold everything from eggs to pork until the late seventies. It became Saddle Rowe Farm, a riding stable, with the help of Joe’s late wife and their six children, the love of horses unifying the whole family.

Joe continues to earn the trust and business of the farming community one client at a time. On most weekends, you can still find Joe offering young riders words of encouragement and inspiration after lessons and classes. When not in the office or the barn, Joe can be found eating at local restaurants around town.

J Scott Lombard

President, Agent

Scott grew up on his family’s farm in Medway, MA. He knows firsthand of the daily responsibilities that go along with farming, even on Christmas. While in school, he and his brothers were called upon to help feed and water the horses before heading off to catch the school bus.

As a young man, Scott left home at nineteen and joined the United States Marine Corps. When his commitment to the military was complete, Scott lived in Alexandria VA for several years, working as an independent sales representative, and taking part-time classes in a community college. He found his way back to New England in the early 1980s and began working as a professional in communications, primarily as a Marketing and Sales representative.

Scott eventually joined up with his dad, Joe Lombard, in 1990 and began working to bring Corinthian Insurance to its present status as the agency of choice in New England. He feels the agency’s success is a combination of "the quality of our clients, colleagues, friends and family throughout the Northeast region." He has attained his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and his AFIS (Agricultural and Farm Insurance Specialist) designations which only 10% of insurance professionals ever complete. Scott is now the president of Corinthian Insurance Agency and together with his team of licensed farm and equine insurance professionals are building the next chapter in Corinthian Insurance Agency’s history.

Scott currently resides in Medway, and has an awesome daughter who is a student in college. They have fun playing music together and hanging out at the barn. When he is not working he is usually found spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include riding, music, fishing, reading, and writing.

Amy Richards

Office Manager, Agent

Amy grew up in a small town in Maine, riding from the time she was seven. She competed in both dressage and hunter classes at the local level, and still has a closet full of Breyer horses which were her prized possessions when young.   Amy graduated from the University of Maine in Orono and lived in Virginia before settling in Massachusetts with her husband. She is an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins. When not in the office, Amy can be found in the garden, reading, or cooking up some healthy (or not so healthy!) dish.  Time with family and friends plays an important role in her life.

When asked about why she got into insurance, Amy said, “I was looking for a new challenge, and when I saw there was insurance for horses and farms, I had to look into it!  Plus, it was a part time career to begin with, which allowed me to participate in my son’s life more fully, volunteering in the classroom, being a soccer coach and watching him play sports.  Now that he is on his own,  I enjoy working full time and talking to the many people we work with, helping them protect what’s important in their lives.”  Amy Richards is a Massachusetts licensed Property & Casualty agent and has the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations, and she also runs the office here at Corinthian Insurance.

Katie Brewer

Farm, Liability, Equine Mortality Agent

Katie grew up in Massachusetts as a horse-crazy young girl, which paved her path in the equine industry at an early age. She worked as a farmhand in a dressage barn for five years and also at Dover Saddlery in customer service while searching for an equine-related college degree that would turn her passion into a living.  She graduated in 2017 from Cazenovia College in New York. She received a degree in Equine Business Management and a certificate in Equine Reproductive Management. Katie’s motto is “never turn down an opportunity to learn something new.” She was the first to sign up for volunteer opportunities or attend seminars, events and classes that allowed her to expand her knowledge. During college, she participated in hunter/jumpers, western trial, dressage, and ranch riding.  Katie even taught lessons to other students with the intention of becoming a licensed instructor. Outside of her college curriculum, she competed in eventing, and volunteered at a carriage driving competition. After college, Katie returned to HITS Horse Show. She soon became the Stable and Feed manager and traveled with HITS to New York, Virginia, and California. After five years in New York, she has returned to Massachusetts, and is now working at Corinthian Insurance Agency and is a Massachusetts licensed Property & Casualty agent.

When she is not working in the office, she enjoys quality time with her family and friends.  Whenever the opportunity presents itself, she still loves to ride or spend time at the barn. She is there to assist her clients in clarifying coverage, securing new policies, processing renewals, billing issues and claims support.  We are so glad to have her on board since 2018.

Nicole Meyerjack

Equine Mortality Agent

Nicole grew up in Lincoln, Rhode Island, riding from the time she was five years old. As a horse-crazy girl, she competed in both hunter jumper and western disciplines. After high school, Nicole went to Johnson and Wales University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management/Riding while also working in barns and other jobs. Through four years of college, she networked with many professionals who taught her about the equine industry. Nicole rode almost every day at school, and on the weekends was cow sorting and barrel racing on her horse, "Rebel." From there, Nicole went on to work as a barn manager and riding instructor teaching both English and Western disciplines.  Although she loved teaching and managing a boarding facility, Nicole decided it was time for a change, and so she joined our team. Nicole continues to ride almost every day; she is always going to different events and loves going to new places for a relaxing trail ride.  Nicole is usually the first voice you hear on the phone when calling us, and she loves her new position here at Corinthian Insurance.  We are very happy to have her!

Marcia Haynes

Farm & Liability Support

Marcia grew up in Franklin, MA. When she was younger she spent time visiting her grandparents in Maine, who owned a dairy farm on 36 acres of land. She used to help her grandfather in the barn as well as in the field when it was time for haying. She knows first hand the work and dedication that goes into owning a farm. Marcia graduated from Franklin High School and has worked in customer service for over 25 years and brings extensive knowledge to Corinthian Insurance Agency. She really enjoys helping people and loves that she is able support the equine and farm community. Marcia resides in Bellingham, MA with her husband and two daughters. When she isn’t working you can find her spending time with family and friends, on beach, shopping, reading, and traveling!
